The Automotive Technician is responsible for servicing and repairing vehicles. Our Techs use state-of-the-art diagnostic resources to expertly diagnose vehicle problems, accurately prescribe/estimate correct repair action(s), and promptly deliver the required service, thereby meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
The ideal Automotive Technician has a high school diploma/GED (advanced education, a plus), comprehensive experience with a broad range of cars and trucks, a current and unrestricted driver''s license, and a clean driving record. In addition, he/she will have five or more years of tire and automotive experience, with expert level proficiency in: alignments, brakes, shocks, struts, suspension, steering and preventative maintenance; and computer expertise in order to operate diagnostic equipment.
The following is a representative list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
-- Use shop equipment such as lifts, welders, diagnostic equipment, etc. with confidence and in accordance with all safety procedures
-- Expertly diagnose vehicle issues based upon experience, use of diagnostic tools/resources, and testing
-- Maintain leading-edge knowledge of automotive diagnosis technology, digital manuals, and reference materials
-- Recommend, estimate, and complete required repairs per company policy
-- Possess an increasingly broad knowledge of how vehicles'' complex components work and interact
-- Perform routine service inspections, test, and lubricate engines and other major components
-- Adapt to rapidly changing technologies in the automotive industry, as well as in the diagnostics arena
-- Know and adhere to safety and environmental standards for maintenance/repair facilities.
-- Mentor or train other, less qualified, technicians in maintenance/repair activity when required
-- Assist on other aspects of store operationsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
