Surgical Tech - Outpatient Surgery - No Call, No Weekends

Description:
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines.
Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource.
Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED.
Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Surgical Tech Certification and 3 years of experience required.
In lieu of Surgical Tech certification, 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years Surgical Tech experience.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current GA LPN License if applicable.
ADDITIONAL
Qualifications:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist Required or Licensed as an LPN required.
BLS certification required.
